Faloppa

Federico Faloppa is Programme Director for Italian Studies at the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Reading and is a consultant for Amnesty International on hate speech and counter-attacking the language of hate. He also collaborates with the Associazione Carta di Roma, the NGO COSPE and the Alexander Langer Foundation. He investigates the representation of minorities in the public and media discourse, migration and political linguistics. His publications include: Parole contro (Garzanti, 2004); Le calunnie etniche nella lingua italiana (UTET, 2009); Razzisti a parole (per tacer dei fatti) (Laterza, 2011); and Sbiancare un etiope (Aracne, 2013).
