Adriano Favole is deputy director for Research at the Department for Culture, Politics and Society at the University of Turin and teaches Cultural Anthropology, Culture and Power. He has lectured at the Universities of Milan, Genoa and Bologna and in New Caledonia. He has travelled and conducted research in Futuna (western Polynesia), New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Australia and in La Réunion (Indian Ocean). His main areas of study are political anthropology, anthropology of the body and anthropology of heritage.
Telmo Pievani is Chair of Philosophy of Biological Science at the University of Padua, where he also teaches Bioethics and Divulgation and Natural Science Museology. He is president of the Italian Society of Evolutionary Biology, a member of the board of the Italian Institute of Anthropology and he collaborates with the newspaper Corriere della Sera and the magazines Le Scienze, Micromega and L’Indice dei Libri del Mese.

Maurizio Bettini is Professor of Classical Philology at Siena University, after being its dean for some time. He was among the founders of the Anthropology and the Ancient World Center that he heads at the same university. He has held seminars at the Department of Classics of the University of California at Berkeley. He was many times directeur d’études associé at EHESS (School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences) in Paris, and he taught at the Collège de France.
Caterina Soffici (1965) is an Italian journalist. She has worked at the newsdailies Paese Sera, la Repubblica, Italia Oggi, and l’Indipendente. She managed the culture section of il Giornale for 10 years up to 2008. She has also written radio and tv programs for RAI channels 2 and 3. She now contributes articles on social and cultural affairs to il Riformista and Vanity Fair. Her book, Ma le donne no, was published by Feltrinelli in 2010.
